Plastic Recycling Program

The intention of our environment conservation related programs is to foster culture of responsibility targeting mostly the youths. Through awareness, advocacy, & learning by doing based trainings, we aim to raise awareness to protect and preserve the environment, enhance greeneries, promote best waste management practices, promote 3R (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle), minimize plastic waste, promote use of biodegradable materials, etc.

Proposed Project Title: Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development (CCESD): Student-led Research on Climate Change.
Expanding/replicating the Project at Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur (3-Year Project)
Key areas of project focus:
Environment, development, progressive education, community action, climate change, resilience.
Broader theme:
 Practical education-based approach to both urban and rural setting. 
 Project implemented through 11 secondary schools of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur.
Focus area/sub-theme
The main focus will be establishing education curricula with climate change integration that promote the care and protection of the natural resources on which local livelihoods depend. This will ultimately reduce poverty and promote income, thus meeting some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  The ESD approach challenges students and teachers to:
 a) undertake social and scientific research on the general condition of their local area,
 b) identify issues that are troubling the community,
 c) deliberate and put into practice the skills learned and the individual and social changes
necessary for building more sustainable and resilient communities.
