This time, the proceeds of this featured trip, will go to our Hope Heaven project, at Bayalbas, Sarlahi to help ensuring its continuity.
Bayalbas, Sarlahi, is a community facing formidable challenges, including deep-rooted poverty, social marginalization, and inadequate access to education &  healthcare. Your support will break down these barriers, providing essential services and opportunities for growth. Additionally, your involvement will address health risks such as open defecation and societal issues like youth drug addiction and early marriage.

ITINERARY:

Day 1 (Oct 28th): Arrival in Kathmandu. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, a friendly representative from our team will be there to greet you. They’ll be wearing traditional Nepali clothing, which will give you a taste of the local culture right from the start. After meeting them, they’ll help you get to your accommodation in Kathmandu comfortably. Once you’ve settled in, we’ll have a short orientation session.
This session is important because it will give you all the information you need about our program’s schedule, local customs you should be aware of, and important safety tips to ensure your time in Nepal goes smoothly. After that, you’ll have some free time to relax and get used to the lively atmosphere of Kathmandu.

Day 2 (Oct 29th): Visit World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Today, we’ll take you on a guided tour to explore some of Kathmandu Valley’s most famous historical and spiritual sites. This area is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it’s home to many incredible architectural wonders. We’ll start with a scenic drive to Chandragiri Hills, where you’ll see breathtaking views of Kathmandu and the Himalayas. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even take a thrilling cable car ride to get an even better view. Then, we’ll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is like a living museum filled with ancient palaces, temples, and courtyards that tell stories from Nepal’s past. We’ll also visit other important religious sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath, where you’ll learn about Nepal’s rich religious and cultural heritage. After a
full day of exploring, we’ll return to your hotel so you can unwind and reflect on everything you’ve seen.

Day 3 (Oct 30th): Travel to Sarlahi/Kag Tihar day! This day, we’ll leave Kathmandu and head to Sarlahi, a charming district surrounded by hills and beautiful scenery. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views of terraced fields, winding rivers, and snow-capped mountains. When we arrive in Sarlahi, you’ll be greeted with warm hospitality from the
locals, who will make you feel right at home. You’ll also get to experience Kag Tihar, a special festival where people offer prayers and treats to crows as a way of thanking them for their role in nature. After a day of traveling and experiencing local traditions, you’ll have some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Sarlahi.

Day 4 (Oct 31st): Kukur Tihar/Lakshmi Puja Today is all about immersing yourself in Nepali culture. You’ll get the chance to dress up in traditional Nepali clothing and take part in traditional makeup rituals. You’ll even receive a special local name! Then, you’ll join in the celebrations of Kukur Tihar and Lakshmi Puja, which are festivals dedicated to honoring dogs and the goddess of wealth. You’ll get to take part in a fun Rangoli-making competition, where you’ll use colorful powders and petals to create beautiful
designs. It’s a day filled with laughter, creativity, and cultural exchange.

Day 5 (Nov 1st): Gai Tihar Today, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the importance of cows in Nepali culture. Cows are considered sacred animals, and you’ll get to take part in rituals that honor them. You’ll also spend time with local farmers, learning about their way of life and gaining a deeper appreciation for agriculture inNepal.

Day 6 (Nov 2nd): Mha Puja (Worshipping Ourselves) On this day, you’ll participate in a special ceremony called Mha Puja. This ceremony is all about self-reflection and spiritual renewal. You’ll have the chance to reflect on your own journey and set intentions for the future. You’ll also celebrate Nepal Sambat, the Newari New Year, and engage in cultural exchanges with local communities. It’s a day of learning, growth, and celebration.

Day 7 (Nov 3rd): Bhai Tika Today, you’ll take part in rituals that celebrate the bond between siblings. You’ll witness heartfelt exchanges of love and gratitude as brothers and sisters adorn each other’s foreheads with vermilion tika. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the resilience of rural communities and the importance of community bonds.

Day 8 (Nov 4th): Back to Kathmandu It’s time to say goodbye to Sarlahi and head back to Kathmandu. As you travel, you’ll have the chance to reflect on your journey and all the incredible experiences you’ve had. Once you’re back in Kathmandu, you’ll settle into your accommodations and spend some time reminiscing about your adventures. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore Thamel, a vibrant area known for its bustling
markets and cultural heritage.

Day 9 (Nov 5th): Experience Sharing and Farewell Lunch On our final day together, we’ll gather for a sharing session where you can reflect on your experiences and share any insights or stories you’d like to. We’ll also enjoy a delicious farewell lunch together, savoring the flavors of Nepali cuisine and toasting to new friendships. After lunch, you’ll have some free time to explore Thamel one last time and pick up any souvenirs you’d like to take home. Finally, we’ll visit the TFN office, where you’ll learn more about their work and the impact they’re making in the community. It’s a fitting end to an
unforgettable journey.
