We welcome international volunteers from all across the world to join our ongoing projects or help build further on past project areas.
Projects span 7 rural municipalities and several urban areas across 8 districts of Nepal.
Minimum engagement period is 10 days. A modest fee is charged to cover accommodation, meals, and logistical support. Orientation and ongoing support are provided throughout your stay.

Can foreigners volunteer in Nepal with Together for Nepal?
Yes. International volunteers of all backgrounds and nationalities are welcome to join our ongoing projects or help build on past project areas in education, community development, health and wellness, environment conservation and cultural exchange.
How long do I need to volunteer for?
The minimum placement is 10 days. Longer stays let you take on more responsibility in a project, so tell us how much time you have and we will suggest where you can be most useful.
Does it cost anything to volunteer in Nepal with TFN?
A modest fee is charged to cover your accommodation, meals and logistical support during the placement. Contact us with your dates and interests and we will confirm the current amount.
What do international volunteers do?
Volunteers work alongside our team and local communities. In schools that includes language teaching, arts and crafts, cultural education, environmental management, first aid and CPR, and sports coaching. Others support community development, health and environment projects.
Where will I be based?
Placements are in rural municipalities and urban areas across the 8 districts where we work, such as Sarlahi in the southern Terai and the Kathmandu Valley. Our office in Nayabazar, Kathmandu is your first point of contact.
What support do volunteers get?
Every volunteer receives an orientation on arrival and ongoing support from our team throughout the stay. Visa rules change, so check the current requirements with Nepal's Department of Immigration before you travel and share your plans with us so we can help you prepare.
